This is the time of year we all think about giving, even just a little something, to those who provide services, be it mail carriers, hair dressers, doormen, etc.  It's hard to think we need to even ask for help, 8 years later, for those who ran to the "pile" and seem to be forgotten in the rage of health care reform.

The New York City 9/11 Ballot Initiative Campaign, a non-profit, citizens based organization, whose goal is the creation of an independent commission to lead a new investigation into the tragedy of 9/11, will be holding a rally on Wednesday, April 30th at 7:30 PM at St. Mark's Church in the Bowery.
The campaign hopes to put the issue of a new investigation of 9/11 on the November 2008
NYC ballot as a public referendum. Come and learn about this historic effort!
Featured guest speakers include:
Dr. William Pepper, international human rights attorney; John Feal, Director of the Feal Good Foundation, dedicated to meeting the health needs of thousands of sick first responders; Bob McIlvaine, 9/11 victim family member; Ralph Schoenman & Mya Shone, hosts of Taking Aim on WBAI-FM; Lynne Stewart, the people's lawyer; and other guests to be announced.
The event will be moderated by the Reverend Frank Morales.

Rudy Must Respond

Why has Giuliani turned his back on the 9/11 First Responders? We are all trying to get on with our lives in this post-9/11 world, but the real heroes carry physical particles from the towers in their bodies.
Philip Landrigan, MD stated before the 9/11 Commission: “millions of microscopic shards of glass… asbestos, dioxins, … jet fuel…, organic solvents, most notably benzene…a mix that’s never previously been encountered....”

The REAL heroes of 9-11 sacrificed everything for their country.
Rudy Giuliani has abandoned them.

meet with the 9-11 first responders.

And while we are at it, please help get the word out about Rudy's no-bid contract to Motorola and the failure of those untested radios on 9/11/01. Hundreds of lives, maybe thousands would have been saved if not for the exclusive contract given to the same company whose radios failed in the 1993 WTC bombing.
